Bermuda Rugby Season Kicking Off
Following the success of the Bermuda National Under 19 team, who recently won the Caribbean Championships, the 2010/11 Bermuda Rugby Season gets under way this Saturday [Sept 11] with the Annual Sandy’s Boat Club Tournament at Malabar. The tournament will see both the Renegades men and ladies teams hoping to defend their crowns from last season. All games are at Moresby Plain Field, Ireland Island, Dockyard, and entrance is free.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
Men – Saturday 11th September 2010
- 1 Renegades V Teachers 12:30 PM
- 2 Mariners V Police 1:10 PM
- 3 Teachers V Mariners 2:20 PM
- 4 Renegades V Police 3:00 PM
- 5 Teachers V Police 4:10 PM
- 6 Mariners V Renegades 4:50 PM
Women – Saturday 11th September 2010
- 1 Renegades V Teachers 12:00 PM
- 2 Mariners V Police 12:00 PM
- 3 Mariners V Teachers 1:50 PM
- 4 Renegades V Police 1:50 PM
- 5 Mariners V Renegades 3:40 PM
- 6 Police V Teachers 3:40 PM
Following the tournament, the league fixtures will kick off on September 25th, with Renegades taking on the Police in the first game and then last season’s league winners, Teachers, taking on last season’s Cup winners, Mariners, in the Annual Presidents Cup Match.
