Clearwater School To Open Tomorrow
The Department of Education has announced that classes at Clearwater Middle School will commence tomorrow [Sept 10], although some areas will be closed off until maintenance is completed.
The Department says that “Carpet, air and surface tests were taken and the school and its classrooms have been deemed safe for staff and students to occupy. It has been noted however that there are some areas of the school which need further cleaning and remediation and these will be closed off until work is completed.’
The statement continued on to say that “The situation will be closely monitored by the Department. There will be no disruptions to any school days. The Commissioner of Education, Mrs. Wendy McDonell wishes the staff and students at Clearwater Middle School a great first day of school tomorrow.”
Other Government schools started yesterday [Sept 8], with Clearwater’s opening delayed due to ongoing maintenance.
