Two Hospitalized: Accident on North Shore

[Updated] There is presently a traffic delay this afternoon [Oct 7] on North Shore in Devonshire, right outside Robinson’s Bay. The accident involved a car and a bike, and the Police are presently on scene.

Both vehicle drivers were transported to hospital with what we understand are non-life threatening injuries.

The car was traveling in the direction of St. George’s, and the bike was traveling in the opposite direction when they collided. We will update with official information when able.

Update 4:59pm: Official statement from the Police:

Around 3:45pm on Thursday, Police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire near Barkers Hill involving a car and a motorcycle. Details are unclear at this time; however it appears that the motorcyclist and the car driver were injured. Both men were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Traffic is being diverted away from the scene. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Update Oct 8, 2:44pm: The car driver, a 28 yr old man, is out of the hospital, and the motorcyclist, a 33 year old man, is listed as stable on a general ward.
