Photos: Premier Goes on a School Blitz
This week Premier Dr Ewart Brown visited three schools, donating books, taking part in a citizenship class as well as taking engaging in a question and answer session with primary school students.
Earlier this week Premier Dr. Brown made a donation of books to the Berkeley Institute library. The books were received by Principal Michelle Simmons and the Head Boy and Head Girl of the Berkeley Institute
Also at the Berkeley Institute, the Premier engaged in a half hour discussion with Mr. Owen Darrell’s Citizenship Class, focusing primarily on the role of the Premier and the relationship of the office holder to the other sections of government. This is the third Citizenship Class that the Premier has attended at the invitation of Mr. Darrell.
On Monday Premier Dr. Brown spent 45 minutes engaging in a question and answer session with Ms. Janell Allen’s P5 class at Harrington Sound Primary. Questions ranged from how the Government could stop gun violence to the process one would have to take to become the Premier of Bermuda. The visit stemmed from an invite from the class by the students containing their ideas on how to better Bermuda.
This morning [Oct 13], the Premier made a donation of books to the Cedarbridge Academy library in a brief ceremony with Principal Kalmar Richards and several students. These books were accumulated during his time in office and the Premier felt that the knowledge contained could be put to good use by the students.
That a boy Doc! Make em remember you for the “good” before you kick rocks! School blitz?! Gotta love Doc!
A shame that Education can’t be put out to tender. If so the good doctor would have placed it high on his list of matters to address…
No money in education. Shame!!!
Kissing babies is next.
