Kim Swan to Speak at Troy University in Alabama

kim swan bermudaKim.Swan will be delivering the keynote address at Troy University’s Commencement. The university, located in Troy, Alabama, is the Oppostion Leader’s alma mater.

Mr Swan graduated from with a bachelor of science degree from Troy University in 1980. While there he was a standout golfer; winning medalist honours at the Northeast Louisiana University Invitational in Louisiana and leading the Troy team that placed 4th in 1979 NCAA Division 2 Championship.

Mr Swan, who went onto become a professional PGA golfer, was named MVP for Troy University in 1979.

Saying he is “deeply honoured” to be invited to give the keynote address Mr Swan said that “Troy University and those associated with the University played a significant role in positively shaping my life.”

He continued on to say that “To be the keynote speaker at ‘the most important day in the of the year at Troy University’ according to Chancellor, Dr. Jack Hawkins is humbling. Cindy and me are looking forward to the return to this Troy homecoming and are hopeful we can be joined by a few friends and family. 2010 marks the 30th Anniversary of my graduation from Troy university – I am a proud Trojan – and pleased to be recognised in this way by Troy University.”
