A car driver “lost control of the vehicle which collided with two parked cars before it overturned and landed on its roof” on Front Street in Hamilton this evening.

A police spokesperson said, “There has been a serious road traffic collision involving three motorcars near ‘The Frontyard’ on Front Street in the City of Hamilton. Early information is that one of the cars was proceeding along Front Street, when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle which collided with two parked cars before it overturned and landed on its roof.

“There were no reported injuries. Traffic is currently being restricted to one lane in the area of the collision. Where possible motorists are advised to use alternative routes to get to their destinations.”

What on earth is going on with all of these accidents that have cars being overturned??? Who is looking at this ‘phenomenon’?

    • Joe Bloggs says:

Sorry, Kim, but I do not believe they are “accidents”. I think they are the result of inattention and negligence on the part of the drivers.

Outside a bar on a street lined with booze pushers, drunk driving could be a factor.

I love that term “lost control”. Whaddya think a car is, some wild rodeo bull?

Cars have never been easier and safer to drive. The are more idiot proof than ever dreamed of even as little as 50 years ago when we still had to think for the car and use a stick shift. ABS was a new thing. A host of tech taken for granted in the most basic car today was could not even be imagined.

Lord help the majority of today’s drivers if they were suddenly put in a 60s or 70s car with no power anything.
