Video: Local Entrepreneurs Leave for London
Six local entrepreneurs flew out to London this evening (Nov 16) after winning free trips in a contest held by British Airways and the Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation. A bottle of champagne was popped to congratulate the group before the plane took off shortly after 8pm.
The winners, pictured above left to right, were Lamone Woods (Bermuda Sports Network), Terry Smith (Clara Bows Boutique), Alexandra Mosher (studio jewellery), Tom Wadson (Organic Farms), Lucinda Spurling (Afflare Films) and Anthony Easton (Tuxedos and Bridal Wear).
Applicants had to submit an essay explaining how a face-to-face meeting in the UK would help their business in Bermuda, and the lucky six winners were selected out of a total of forty entrants.
