Taxi Fire: No Suspicious Circumstances
Around 5:40pm yesterday evening [Nov 24] a taxi was traveling along North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish when the vehicle began to emit sparks and smoke. The driver, a 50 year old Sandys parish man, managed to escape uninjured. The vehicle was extensively damaged; however the Police confirmed today that there are no suspicious circumstances.
The Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service also responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. Traffic was diverted away from the area for approximately an hour.
