Video: Northlands Primary School Choir
At a ceremony at City Hall this afternoon [Nov 18] today was declared the Universal Day of the Child, which is an annual, international celebration in which countries recognize the day when the United Nations adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child [1959] and the Convention of the Rights of the Child [1989].
There was a reading of the Proclamation by the Minister of Youth, Families, Sports and Community Development Glenn Blakeney, and then the highlight of the event took place – performances by some of the island’s students.
