Business Robbed on Christmas Eve

Police report that “At 10:17pm on Friday December 24th a victim reported that a man wielding what appeared to be a bladed article entered a business on St Johns Rd Pembroke, and made demands of money. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money, however no one was injured. Inquires into this incident are underway.”

In addition, Police say that they “Responded to a report of a man lying in the street on Union St. in North Hamilton yesterday at 9:17pm. Upon police arrival it was ascertained that it appeared to be a botched attempted robbery, however it appears that the suspect made good his escape empty handed.”

“The victim received a laceration to his face with a sharp object but his injury does not appear to be life threatening and the victim was reluctant to pursue this matter at this juncture. Anyone who may have seen this incident or may have any information to this incident is asked to contact Central CIU on 2950011.”
