Storm Warning Issued for Bermuda
The Bermuda Weather Service (BWS) advised that a Storm Warning has been issued for the Island. Over the course of this evening (Dec 20) experts say that Bermuda will experience severe weather conditions which are expected to last into tomorrow morning.
As a public safety precaution, the Ministry of National Security is advising motorists, particularly cyclists who are travelling about the Island this evening to use extra care and caution when traversing the Island’s roads and bridges.
Dr. Mark Guishard, Director of the BWS, said the current forecast calls for sustained gales, periods of heavy downpours and thunderstorms with a risk of small hail.
Dr. Guishard also advised that in the early hours of tomorrow morning, it is anticipated that storm-force wind gusts of up to 60 knots will occur intermittently. As such residents are encouraged to monitor weather reports and updates for changes.
Residents are advised to secure outdoor furniture, potted plants, garbage bins and any other items that could be blown about by the wind.
The Ministry advised that there are no plans to close the Causeway. However the bridge will be closely monitored.

Just wondering terry, do you ever get tired of trolling Bernews? I’m all for the “free speech” thing, but some of your comments are unnecessary. Why don’t you take 5 and enjoy your free cable. Happy Holidays Bernews.
No I don’t. Do you? I’m just wonderin……..
he is just starved for attention….so please do not feed the trolls
Could be worse…could be SNOW!!!
Along with the potted plants etc. to be brought inside, don’t forget to put your brass monkeys somewhere warm too.
For the record, Bernews.com, nor ANY website, is under ANY obligation to allow “Free Speech”. “Freedom of speech” has nothing to do with privately owned entities, unless specific regulations are in place, such as equal time for political messages, etc. There are NO regulations to cover whether a website has to allow people to post.
Banning someone for breaking rules, disrupting the site, attacking other members and generally causing trouble has nothing to do with curtailing their “Free Speech”.
This whole “Freedom of Speech” argument is usually brought up by someone, usually an internet troll, trying to curtail someone else’s.
