Voting Survey: Americans Living Abroad

The US Consulated in Bermuda has notified Americans living on the island that the United States Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP), the Department of Defense organization responsible for overseas and absentee voting assistance for U.S. citizens, has just released a Congressionally-mandated survey to gather opinions on the absentee voting experience of U.S. citizens living overseas.

Voting is the right of U.S. citizens everywhere, including those who live outside the country. To improve the process though, FVAP need to know about personal voting experiences. With the recent 2010 Federal election just concluded, there is not a better time to ask about these experiences. FVAP has released a survey to help Americans provide this information. The data collected from this survey will be reviewed to help identify what is working and what can be improved.

The survey does not require any personally identifiable information, such as name, date of birth, or social security number, and all results will be kept confidential and not shared with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and any other government and/or private organization.
