17 Yr Old Charged with Firearm Offence
Before Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo, in Magistrates Court this morning [Jan 24], a seventeen year-old teenage male facing indictable charges involving a firearm, was remanded into custody to re-appear for mention in February 2011.
Leo Burgess was charged with breaking into a house in the west end and stealing watches, bracelets, and a bag said to contain cash; and committing this act in the company of others who are not yet before the Court. He was also charged with possessing a firearm, and with handling a firearm. All offences are alleged to have occurred in December 2010.
Magistrate Tokunbo ordered him remanded into custody.

If convicted, I hope the courts come down heavily on this case. We are in a whole new level of bad if the use of guns becomes commonplace in robberies and breakins.
