Bermudian Student Safe & Sound in UK

'Thames Valley Police andrew stout[Updated! Student is unofficially reported as fine!] A Bermudian college student is reported as missing in the United Kingdom, having last been seen two weeks ago in a bar and restaurant in Oxford.  The British Police have issued an appeal for help in locating 22-year-old Andrew Stout, saying they are “appealing for witnesses to help locate a man missing from Oxford.”

Sgt David Whittle of the Thames Valley Police said: “Andrew is in his final year of study at Oxford Brookes and has not attended University since the start of term. We are concerned for his welfare as this behaviour is very out of character. If you have seen Andrew or know anything about his whereabouts, please contact.us.”

Mr Stout, who was living in Reliance Way, Oxford, was last seen at the Camera bar and restaurant in St Ebbes, Oxford on February 10th.

An excellent squash player, Mr Stout played in the Pan Am Junior competition in Guatemala in 2006. His family is well known for their contributions to the sport of squash, and he and his three brothers are all accomplished athletes. His brother James Stout is the defending World Rackets Champion.

The British Police said: “If you have any information regarding this incident please contact Thames Valley Police on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police or give your name, please call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

Update, and an excellent one: Mr Stout is now unofficially reported as fine by friends, see Facebook.

Update 3:30pm: The Oxford Times reported this afternoon: “Missing Oxford Brookes University student Andrew Stout has been found safe and well. A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said today that when Andrew became aware that he had been declared missing he made contact with police by telephone.”
