Drug Importation: Three Charged in Court
This morning [Feb 11] in Magistrates Court three former post office workers appeared on charges of importing illegal drugs.
31 year old Hopde Burrows, 58 year old Anthony Rogers and the lone female 28 year old Michaelia Selvin were all charged with conspiring with others not before the court to import cannabis between an unknown date and February 19,2010.
Mr Rogers was charged separately on a matter relating to handling mail. The mail was said to consist of Fisher Price toys containing illegal drugs.
All three received bail in the amount of $10,000, and had to surrender travel documents and were instructed to report to Hamilton Police station every Monday between 8am – 8pm.

Not to worry guys, postal workers are represented by the union. If today’s result with the bus driver is any indication, these three alledged drug importers can rest assured that their jobs are safe. They’ll have jobs waiting for them when they finish serving their time. Committing a crime (allegedly) on the job is okay so long as you have the union to walk out in support of your actions.
Don’t worry guys – your jobs will be re-instated and you’ll be paid for the time you weren’t working. However, we will have to put a little note in your file.
We will see based on recent events. If the citizens of Bermuda can’t trust their postal officers when it comes to the importation of illegal drugs/packages…I’ll leave the rest for you to finish. Who is monitoring the monitors and who is monitoring them? Remember, the Ways and Means committee is very small and tight.
Good thing the US has no issues with drug importation. Oh wait…
Foreigners always got somthing to say… Keep ya comments to yourself and monitor ya own country. How bout that homeboy !!!
Ever heard of freedom of speech?
yep… and it works both ways.
Freedom of speech means that Curious George can say what he wants, too.
Question? Why comment on what the foreigner has to say when he or she is exactly right.
The monitors are the ones with the means and the powers to get the stuff here.
Agreed?
I predict a strike by Postal workers in the very near future…
Will we notice?
Touche…
HAHAHAHA LOL! Probably not!
What do you mean “former” postal workers. They ain’t convicted yet. Where’s the union? Come on Chris, there’s work to do at the Post Office. Alleged drug dealing isn’t a basis for firing someone is it?
/sarcasm off/
They are former postal workers, maybe the workers need to park there bikes, lol,Help Mr Furbert.
I wonder if the address was correct
LMBO!!!
Are you a worker currently in deep poo for violating your terms and conditions of employment? Not to worry. With the BIU we’ll band together and make sure you’re reinstated with minimum penalties. Just dial 1-800-BIU-4YOU!!

MPP and Curious George…I still hold in my hand a British Dependent Territory Citizen Passport – Place of Issue: BERMUDA
The irony of some of these comments are, if I had said them……
