First & Premier Division Football Round Up
Yesterday [Feb 6] a number of football games took place across the island, with BAA the big winner in the First Division, steamrolling Paget Lions 12-0, with four goals from Nigel Lee and Javon Stovell.
First Division
Wolves 1 Young Men Social Club 0
At the Devonshire Rec. a lone strike from Steven Bremar in the 25th minute was enough to earn Wolves a 1 – 0 win over the Young Men Social Club.
Prospect United 1 MR Onion’s 3
At the Police Field, First Division Leading goalscorer Keston Lewis gave MR Onion’s the lead in the 7th minute, Dennis Joell equalized for Prospect United in the 15th minute. In the 63rd minute Lewis put MR Onion’s back in front, before Phil Matthews closed out the scoring with a goal in the 78th minute for MR Onion’s.
X’Road’s 2 Robin Hood 1
At the Garrison field, Daniel Baker gave X’Road’s the lead in the 19th minute, Uthmani Talbot doubled the lead in the 64th minute, Daniel Outerbridge pulled a goal back for Robin Hood
Paget Lions 0 BAA 12
At the White Hill Field, visitors BAA got four goals from Nigel Lee and Javon Stovell as they defeated the home team Paget Lions 12 – 0. Zeon Robinson found the net twice, while Willie Clemons and Quintonio Lema scored a goal each.
Hamilton Parish 5 Ireland Rangers 0
At the Wellington Oval, Kiaya Darrell scored twice for Hamilton Parish as they defeated Ireland Rangers 5 – 0, Omar Allen, Lorenzo Simmons and Jahkevon Outerbridge all added a goal each for the home team.
Premier Division
St. David’s 2 Devonshire Cougars 4
At Lord’s in St. David’s, first half goals from Lejaun Simmons and Kwame Steede gave the Devonshire Cougars a 2 – 0 half time lead. Simmons added a strike in the second half to go with a Tumani Steede goal while St. David’s got second half goals from Fiqre Crockwell and Angelo Cannonier, but Devonshire Cougars came away with the 4 – 2 win. Devonshire Colts 1 Dandy Town Hornets 3
At Police Field, Damon Ming gave the Dandy Town Hornets a first half lead when he converted from the penalty spot. Kyle Jones equalized for the Devonshire Colts, only to have Fabian Frankson put Dandy Town back in front. Raymond Beach scored the Dandy Town Hornets third goal as they walked away with a 3 – 1 win.
PHC Zebras 2 Somerset Eagles 0
Cofield Robinson gave PHC Zebras the lead in the first half at the Southampton Oval, and Blenn Bean doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the second half.
North Village Rams 1 St. George’s Colts 1
After a scoreless first half at Bernard Park, Jason Lee gave the North Village Rams the lead in the 65th minute, however Clay Darrell equalized for St. George’s Colts scoring directly from a corner in the 75th minute.
