Weekend Updates: Track & Field Athletes
Dage Minors home for his spring break qualified for the Carifta Games with a time of 4:14.40 reaching the “A” standard in the U17 1500m boys. Juma Mouchette just missed the qualifying standard by .79 in the U20 mens 1500m in a time of 4:15.79.
Jasmine Brunson competing in the long jump at the ACC Championships, and placed 4th with a personal best of 6.24m -which qualified her for the Pan Am Games.
Aaron Evans placed 2nd in the SEC Championships in the 800m with a time of 1:49.76.
At the same event Latroya Darrell placed 4th in the Triple Jump with a leap of 12.81m Allison Outerbridge at the same placed 13th in the Triple Jump with a leap of 11.75, which is the “B” standard for the Carifta Games
Henry Stevens-Carty competing in the Southern Conference Championships placed 2nd in the 800m in a time of 1:55.10. Henry’s 4X400 relay team placed 2nd overall.
