More Local Athletes Qualify For Carifta
Five additional Bermudian track and field athletes have qualified for the upcoming 2011 Carifta Games, which will be held Jamaica from April 23-25. Victoria Clarke, Shuntae Hendrickson, Zakiyyah Showers, Kyle Webb, and Chas Smith all reached the required marks in their specific disciplines during a BTFA track and field meet:
- Victoria Clarke 100m U17 Girls “A” 12.21
- Victoria Clarke 200m U17 Girls “B” 25.25
- Shuntae Hendrickson 1500m U17 Girls “A” 5:12.62
- Zakiyyah Showers 1500m U17 Girls “B” 5:16,55
- Kyle Webb 100m U17 Boys “A” 11.08
- Chas Smith LJ U17 Boys “A” 6.61m
