Bermuda Beat Hong Kong in Dubai

Earlier today [Apr.2] the Bermuda National Cricket Team beat Hong Kong in a practice game in Dubai as part of their Training Camp prior to the start of the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 2 Tournament. Final score: Hong Kong 259/5 Bermuda 260/4

Hong Kong elected to bat first after winning the toss with Khalid Butt the top scorer with 84 not out, while Roy Lamsam chipped in with 78.

In reply Bermuda scored 260/4, with Captain David Hemp the top scorer with 94, while Dion Stovell added 70 and Fiqre Crockwell was 40 not out when the score was crossed.

The tournament will take place from Friday 8 April – Friday 15 April and Bermuda will compete against UAE, Uganda, Hong Kong and Papa New Guinea. The bottom two teams will get relegated to Division 3 and the top four will stay in the ICC High Performance Programme.

    so let me get this right…budget cuts for day care,salvation army,police, etc.etc.etc and we have a cricket team in Dubai for a couple of weeks? Hopefully they are paying for themselves..but they did beat Hong Kong in a practice match…

    If they DIDN’T beat Honk Kong they whole bleddy well budget for cricket wud need to be cut!

    @ both u lot – at least dey doin sumthin positive. show dem guys some respect…regardless of what happens it still sumthin positive. especially in times like today. real talk focus on de youth = sumthin positive and keeps dem occupied an a start!
