A spokesperson for the team said, “With a young team going to this Carifta our goal was to get personals best times and we achieved that at an incredible percentage. W hat we saw develop from this group was quite special with many of our new comers getting into the finals and flourishing under the pressure.”
“We can hope to improve in future Carifta’s off the experience that was gained at this meet. We are proud of our swimmers for the way that they handled themselves throughout the trip and the respect that they showed in representing their country. We are looking forward to see how many of these athletes will perform at the Best #3 meet this weekend as they transition from 50 meter pool to our home 25 meter pool. Congratulations to all our finalist, record breakers and of course to our medalist Ashley Yearwood.”
Well done!!
Good job.
Maybe we’ll see some diversity in other sports like Marshal arts soon. Support our sports men in all events. Could be good for tourism too.
