Hamilton Parish: 2010/11 Shield Champions
[Updated with photos] Hamilton Parish are the 2010/11 Shield Champions, after beating Wolves 2-1 in overtime this afternoon [Apr.10]
This match started with Wolves putting Hamilton Parish under pressure right from the start. Derek Brangman had a chance in the 16th minute to give Wolves the lead, but his shot was blocked by Nigel Burgess denying them the lead. Mr Brangman then scored to give Wolves the lead, and at the end of the first half the score remained Hamilton Parish 0 Wolves 1.
Hamilton Parish equalized when Dejuan Simmons out jumped the Wolves defence to score a header. Both teams created several chances to find the winner, but it never came as the game ended 1 – 1 and entered extra time.
At the end of the first half of extra time the score remained 1 – 1. In the second half of extra time Hamilton Parish substitute Romone Smith gave them the lead, when his intended cross hung up in the wind and dipped in under the crossbar leaving Adams stranded.
