April 17, 2011

After tickets to the first screening sold out in a single day, the Bermuda Documentary Film Festival [Bermuda Docs] has added a second screening of the documentary film, Poverty in Paradise: The Price We Pay, directed by Lucinda Spurling and produced by the Coalition for the Protection of Children.

The film will screen on Sunday May 1 at 9 p.m. in the Tradewinds Auditorium of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.

Tickets are available now at www.bdatix.bm, and, pending availability, on Monday at All Wrapped Up Home-Washington Mall, The Money Shop-Dundonald Street, Fabulous Fashions-Heron Bay Plaza, or by calling 232-2255.

“Tickets for the festival went on sale Friday morning and by 9 p.m. Friday evening, the first screening had sold out,” says Bermuda Docs director Duncan Hall. “We immediately added a second screening, and by Sunday morning half the available tickets had been sold. There is enormous interest in this very important film.”
