Seven Bus Cancellations Today

April 20, 2011

The daily schedule of bus cancellations has been released, with today [Apr.20] seeing seven cancellations, which is substantially less than the previous days. The list is mailed out daily by the Department of Public Transportation, and says the cancellations are due to “extenuating circumstances.” Despite repeated requests on Bernews part for the last three days, the Ministry has not given an official reason for the cancellations, however it is unofficially understood they are directly related to the budget cuts.

Would it be easier to upload the cancellations onto their website instead of having to send it by email to everyone. Oh yeah I forgot the just like most of the staff at PTB the website http://www.bermudabuses.bm doesn’t work!!!

    • Phillip Wells says:

The cancellations are available on the Government Portal, http://www.gov.bm, in the “Making New Today” sidebar at the bottom left of the page.

  3. Sheriff says:

So then the elderly will just sit in the hot sun waiting for a bus that isn’t coming? Pathetic! They don’t have a computer !!

    • Sunshine says:

Sheriff – my sentiments exactly…not too mentionthe seniors that not only won’t be able to get on regularly scheduled buses to attend various doctors appointments (they all have them), most definitely can not afford to hire a taxi!! Thanks Terry, this is just great, who arranged all of these mega cruise ships and failed miserably at arranging public transportation to support the crowds. What a mess….you are slipping buddy. Don’t count on my vote!!

You are right though two mathematicians can’t arrange the transporation schedule, maybe you can hire a magician.

  4. BlameBROWN&COX says:

Brown and Cox for reducing Bermuda to this drastic financial outcome. The most poorer islands in the Carribbean and LARGER than 21sqmi.you can get a bus the cheapest form of transport anytime to everywhere eg.Dominica Republic,BVI,T’DAD,Jamaica,Cuba,St Kitts,Antigua, and even Guam..this govt is useless
