May 15: Royal Bermuda Ascot Event
On May 15th the Royal Bermuda Ascot Garden Party & Horse Show will be held at the Ocean View Farm, and funds raised will be used to support some of the island’s equestrians who have qualified to compete in this years’s Pan Am Games.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Ascot Committee takes great pleasure in inviting you to join us for a memorable afternoon at Ascot. This event is being organized in support of our Island’s equestrians who successfully qualify to compete at this year’s Pan American Games.”
“Bermudian equestrians in pursuit of qualification to join Show Jumper Patrick Nisbett who has already qualified, are International Show Jumpers – Jillian Terceira and Raishun Burch and International Dressage riders – Annabelle Collins and Virginia McKey.”
“The Royal Bermuda Ascot Event is a fun afternoon of entertainment. We are pleased to provide Show Jumping competitions, St George’s Towne Crier, along with the awesome sounds, marching and dancing displays of the Bermuda Pipe Band and the Somerset Brigade Band. Soloist Toni Robinson will also perform while our guests enjoy champagne and a sumptuous tea.”
“There are prizes to be won as we will have raffles for sale and door prizes for the lucky ticketers. Tickets for this event will be available at Aberfeldy Nursery, All Wrapped Up and Argonaut Ltd. and from members of the Committee: Penny Terceira (238-0244) Jennie Watlington (295-4139).”
