Devonshire Colts U14 Win USA Cup Games
Devonshire Colts Under 14 Team yesterday [July 19] started their Schwans USA Cup – America international tournament in Minnesota with a win.
This is a yearly tournament and attracts teams as far as Japan, Ecuador and Brazil to name but a few.
Devonshire Colts took on a Rio Select defeating them 4-1.
At 5:10pm the USA Cup went to a BLACK Flag. All play was suspended due to heat conditions. The games that had not started had to be rescheduled while all the 4:15 games that reached half time were considered final.
In their second game of the tournament the team picked up another win, this time against a team from Ecuador – beating them 4-3.
Traveling with the team are coach Jay Bean and assistant coaches Cooly Durham and Vernon Lambe Jr.
Young fellas. Keep up the good work. I am glad to see you passing on the winning mentaltly to your Assistant Coach Cooly because the Frist Team needs to take notes. Can’t wait to you guys restore the club to the good old days of yesterday. Best of luck for the rest of the tournament.
