Video: Skipper Ingham 5th In Orlando
Continuing a decades long competitive career that has encompassed numerous successes, 81-year-old Frederick “Skipper” Ingham finished 6th out of thirteen competitors in the 50 and over forms competition at the US Open Karate Championships in Orlando, Florida held this past weekend [July 2/3]. Traveling with him to observe was his senior student, instructor Gladwin Phillips, who took this video clip of his performance:
Great Work Skip…..you’re still looking good……you make me Proud to be a Bermudian ………still the Champ of champs……!!!!
Congrats Mr. Ingham !! I wonder what his diet is, he’s in great shape !!!!
Great work, you should be proud, you certainly make us all very proud. Watching the video really gives us a chance to feel like we were there so thanks also to Mr. Phillips.
Good Job Skipper…
I hope I can move like that when I reach his age! Very Good.
I used to do Muay-thai up at Skipper’s school on King Street….that man is a BEAST!
He would lead 90-minute cardio sessions…I was only 23 at the time, in decent shape, and I’d be DEAD by the end of it, while he’d still be there without even having broke a sweat.
CONGRATS, SKIPPER! YOU’RE A LEGEND!
Just Amazing and an Inspiration to us all! Persistence and Perseverance Pays Off…Well done Mr. Ingham.
