Football: BFA Announce Award Nominees

Bermuda Football Association’s Deputy Chairman of Competitions Stephen Coddington, announced the nominees for the BFA Awards presentation.

Mr Coddington said, “We have had to do things a little different, but at this time we feel this is the way we have to go, we have three categories, which are the Coach of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Player of the Year.”

“I think that these top three nominees in each category will make for an interesting evening on Thursday when the winners will be announced.”

“On Thursday evening we have several announcements with the special ones being the announcement of a New Sponsor and the 2011/12 League Schedule.”

Coach of the Year Nominees:

  • Richard Todd – St. George’s Colts
  • Kwame Steede – Devonshire Cougars
  • Shaun Goater – North Village Rams

Young Player of the Year Nominees:

  • Tumani Steede – Devonshire Cougars
  • Jahron Dickinson – St. George’s Colts
  • Jason Lee – North Village Rams

Player of the Year Nominees:

  • Ralph Bean Jr. – North Village Rams
  • Cecoy Robinson – PHC Zebras
  • Damon Ming – Dandy Town Hornets

    BFA need to get a life. They are a bunch of jokers. I say everyone go over to Corona League they seem to have more structure, especially the Women because they obviously are not worried about the direction their league is going. How are they going to have an awards ceremony for the men and not the women. So what if they restructured the league last season. They still played and deserved to have an awards ceremony too, they’ve had one all the recent years. Why stop now. SMH
