Ian Parker Appointed Hardy COO
Hardy Underwriting Bermuda Limited announced the appointment of Ian Parker as Chief Operating Officer.
Mr Parker joins from Zurich Financial Services, where he was Chief Executive of Direct & Partnership European General Insurance and Chairman of Zuritel S.p.A and Deutsche Allgemeiner Versicherung.
Prior to this he has worked for a range of other insurance and financial services companies including Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance and Eagle Star. He started his career as an equity trader and then an analyst covering banks and financial institutions.
Commenting on the appointment, Barbara Merry, Chief Executive of Hardy, said: “Ian brings with him a wealth of experience in the insurance and financial services sectors, as well as in senior management roles, where he has a very strong track record. We welcome him to Hardy and look forward to working with him.”
