Cricket Match Stopped: Umpire Walks Off

A Premier Division cricket match between Devonshire Recreation and Willow Cuts was stopped after an umpire walked off the pitch today [Sept.4].

The match was played at the Devonshire Recreation Club, and the home team were bowled all out for 139. Ricardo Brangman was the top scorer with 39, while Lamont Brangman added 32.

George O’Brien Jr. was the pick of Willow Cuts bowlers with figures of 8.5-1-32-3. In reply Willow Cuts were 64/4, when an incident on the field resulted in a umpire walking off the field.

    the sad part is that punishment in sport here is far too light and the clubs are to blame for turning a blind eye to a lot of stuff !!!! e.g the st davids issue in last weeks paper

    any ideas to improve the sport enviroment here should be submitted here : idea 1- sniffer dogs should be present at the entrances. idea 2- there should be a section or area near the bar only for alcohol to be consumed .
