Cricket: Premier and First Division Round Up

St. David’s are the 2011 Premier Division Champions, after beating St George’s by 9 wickets.

At Lord’s in St. David’s, St George’s Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat, they were bowled all out for 131. Richard Todd was the top scorer with 49, while Clay Smith added 30, Delyone Borden had bowling figures of 10-3-11-2 to lead St. David’s Cricket Club, while Sammy Robinson bowled 10-3-17-2. In reply St. David’s scored 132/1, Fiqre Crockwell was the top scorer with 67 not out, while Ajuan Lamb added 31.

Southampton Rangers Win by 7 Wickets – PHC 49 Southampton Rangers 50/3

At the PHC Stadium, PHC batted first and were bowled all out for 49, Charles Symons was the top scorer with 19, while Traddie Simpson bowled 2.3-1-6-2, while Ryan Belboda bowled 9-5-7-2. In reply Kwame Tucker scored 17 not out as Southampton Rangers scored 50/3, Cal Waldron had figures of 6-2-23-2 for PHC.

Match Abandoned - Bailey’s Bay 240 Willow Cuts 7/0

At the Sea Breeze Oval, Bailey’s Bay were bowled all out for 240, with Dennico Hollis the top scorer with 55, while Kavon Fubler had bowling figures of 10-0-45-3 for Willow Cuts. In reply Willow Cuts were 7/0 when an incident on the field resulted in the umpires walking off the field of play and abandoning the match.

Cleveland County are the 2011 First Division Champions - Cleveland County 168 Western Stars 169/9

At the St. John’s Field, in the first game since the HWP Fire next to the club, saw the home team Western Stars come away with a one wicket victory, however Cleveland County had already sewn up the League title. Batting first Cleveland recovered from 50/5 to score 168 all out, Aaron Adams was the top scorer with 50, while Romar Simmons added 30, Andre Manders had bowling figures of 10-1-47-5 for Western Stars. In reply Tre Manders led the Western Stars to victory when he scored 63, while Dennis Musson jr. had bowling figures of 7.4-1-22-3 for Cleveland County, while Allan Douglas Jr. bowled 9-0-36-3.

    Another match abandoned…wonderful and they wonder where the kids get it from…
    Can someone tell me why this sport in Bermuda continues to get Sponsors and funding when players who have failed drug tests to represent the country are still allowed to play in the league…totally disgusting

      i AGREE with the drug test comment… and i also would like to ask the bcb if willow cuts will face the disciplinary committee this is the second game in a row they have abandoned.
