First Division Football Results
Yesterday [Sept.25] a host of football games were played across the Island, the results for the First Division games follow below:
Somerset Eagles 2 Prospect United 2
At the White Hill Field, Somerset Eagles took the lead in the 20th minute when Stevie Dread found the back of the net. Two minutes later Kenneth DeSilva equalized for Prospect United. Dread put the Somerset Eagles back in front in the 47th minute, only for DeSilva to score the equalizer in the 53rd minute as the two teams shared the points.
X’Road’s 6 Devonshire Colts 0
At the Garrison Field, X’Road’s got a hat-trick from Khomeini Talbot as they defeated the Devonshire Colts 6 – 0, they also got goals from Andre Burgess, Jarreau Daniels and Rico Beek.
Ireland Rangers 0 BAA 6
At Malabar, BAA scored six unanswered goals as they defeated Ireland Rangers 6 – 0. Jevon Stovell gave BAA the lead in the 25th minute, Zeon Robinson doubled the lead in the 32nd minute, Stovell scored his second goal of the game in the 67th minute and then three minutes later Stovell completed his hat-trick. Willie Clemens made it 5 – 0 to BAA in the 87th minute and London Robinson closed out the scoring with a goal in the 90th minute.
Flanagan’s Onions 9 Paget Lions 0
At the BAA Field, Darren Doolin gave the Flanagan’s Onions the lead in the 16th minute against the Paget Lions, seven minutes later the lead was doubled when Richard Cumbers found the net. In the 27th minute Keston Lewis scored the first of his five goals on the afternoon, Lewis made it 4 – 0 in the 47th minute, he also found the net in the 51st and 62nd minutes. In the 75th minute Sam O’Shaughnessy scored from the penalty spot to make it 7 – 0 and then in the 85th minute Darragh O’Donoghue converted from the spot to make it 8 – 0 and then Lewis closed out the scoring in the 87th minute for the 9 – 0 win.
Hamilton Parish 1 Wolves 1
At the Wellington Oval, Hamilton Parish took the lead when Dejon Simmons found the back of the net, but Wolves fought back with a strike from Derek Brangman as the teams shared the points.
