Football: Premier And First Division Results
Somerset Trojans clinched the First Division title on a dramatic weekend of local football, while Young Men’s Social Club were relegated from the top flight.
In the Premier Division, North Village defeated Young Men’s Social Club 5-2 at Bernard Park.
Scoring Village’s goals were Jai Bean, Che’Kai Caisey Jalen Harvey, Jonté Smith, and Tah-ki Tucker.
Z’Chai Jennings-Barnett and Ryan Parris netted for Social Club.
Meanwhile, PHC Zebras beat Paget Lions 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Kadeem Abraham, and Dandy Town defeated X-Roads 2-0 at White Hill Field thanks to goals from David Jones and Enrique Swan.
Elsewhere, Devonshire Colts defeated Boulevard 5-1, with Chemarl Henry scoring a first-half hat-trick.
Shane Robinson and Senoj Mitchell also netted for Colts. Doreiko Walker scored for Boulevard.
Devonshire Cougars swept aside St George’s Colts 6-1.
Scoring for Cougars were D’ari Coddington, Domico Coddington, Chae Brangman, Charmari Burns and a brace from Justin Bell.
Blaiz Hall scored for St George’s.
In the First Division, Somerset Trojans gained promoted after beating Robin Hood 2-0, with two goals from Leo Burgess, including a penalty.
Southampton Rangers and Somerset Eagles drew 1-1 at White Hill Field.
Nathan Rego scored for Eagles, and Malachi Jones netted for Rangers.
Elsewhere, St David’s defeated Vasco 3-1 at Lord’s, with Aaron Paynter scoring twice and James Jarvis also netting for St David’s.
Jayden Smith scored for Vasco.
