Katia Weakens, Strengthens To Hurricane Again
[Updated] Hurricane Katia has weakened to a tropical storm as it moves across the Atlantic Ocean, however forecasters say it could strengthen again.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center said, “Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph [110 km/h] with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected today, but Katia could become a hurricane again over the weekend.”
The Bermuda Weather Service said Katia is not a threat to Bermuda at this time, and its closest point of approach to Bermuda within 72 hrs is forecast to be 561 nautical miles to the south south-east at 6am on Monday, September 5th.
Meanwhile, the system in the Gulf of Mexico has now become Tropical Depression Thirteen, and forecasters say it could become Tropical Storm Lee later today [Sept.2].
Update 3:30pm: In their latest update the U.S. National Hurricane Center said Katia has regained hurricane status, carrying maximum sustained winds of 75 mph

It looks like it is turning more west,but always be ready just in case it does a turn east.
CNN.com is now reporting that it has strengthened back into a hurricane.
