lol village sporting pink as there color? tooooo funny. how are you bermuda’s red devils if ya wearing pink lol. as for devrae tankard, im still wondering how you made the national team. oh wait you play for village and the hogges thats why. i guess talent or being able to play good doesnt matter no more. you jus have to kiss the right (jack)ass to get into the national squad. Its not about the best but who you know…

    • FYI- Think b4 you speak says:

@notnice… You should really consider how IGNORANT you sound before posting such assanine comments. The PINK that they are wearing is in support of BREAST CANCER/CANCER AWARNESS for the month of OCTOBER.

    to not nice:

A personal attack at Mr Tankard is uncalled for, it is clear that that attack was personal as it had nothing to do with the victory of Dandytown.

Dandytown was the better team on the night, and North Village wearing pink shows their commitment to an issue that is affecting millions of women around the world (breast cancer).. If you look at the NFL most teams have players wearing something pink.

Hats off to two good teams that play for the love of the sport, love of team, and love of country.

Mr. Tankard, whilst a clearly disgruntled person took the time to try and discredit you, your freinds, family, and supporters know who you really are.

Blessing to all and know that positive will always prevail over negative.

  6. FAN 4 LYFE !!! says:

  7. PHC for life says:

notnice you are a freak! Its obvious you are mad that you didnt make the national team. Making anonmous personal attacks is tacky. Bermews please remove this idiots comment. This portal was not set up for that. Devrae not only are you a good player your a good citizen and might i add fine as hell. Clearly he’s just jealous! Pray that God removes his hating spirit.

  8. you gotta be kidding me says:

You ppl are sooo stupid. No one cant have a personal opinion no more about no one. I agree with notnice on the part he said if you dont play for the hogges u dont make the national team cut. That is very true of our national team. If you dont play for a certain team you not getting picked. This was and still does happen to this day. However I dont condone the comments on devrae, but he is on of them that always get picked and we have much better defenders out there that dont get picked. But you can rant and rave all you want about me or notnice or anyone else for that matter for being a hater or whatever you call ppl, its still MY OPINION…

    • you gotta be kidding me says:

oh and P.S. i play for the national squad and i couldnt make it until i started playing for the hogges… so i know what im talking about, and a lot of the players see the same trend too!!!!!

Sometimes we have to be for real about football and about ourselves. If there is a clear and established path (the Hogges) into the National Program follow it. It seems to make sense. They play the same format, system and use the same terminology throughout the year. There will be some exceptional players that will be able to circumvent the process because the team may need that particular skill set and may genuinely add more quality to the team. For the rest (Mr.Tankard) who are average players, who have some potential the logical path would be the Hogges. A good bit of our male players act as if they are bigger than the game but ultimately this is a team sport. A bunch of average players that listen and are willing to grow will be picked before know it all hot heads.

Saying all that, as in any country there are politics in football, it is what it is, but I take my hat off to those players who rise above it to try and progress the Hogges (BDA’s unofficial national team) and the Official National Team, also to the fans, the real fans, that support them. I am tired of Bermudians beating up on Bermudians. There are too many non Bermudians doing this daily on newsite blogs, why help them out. One Team One Bermuda
