Local Group To Attend Women’s Forum

The Premier and Minister of Finance Paula Cox will lead a delegation of local women from both the public and private sectors to the International Women’s Forum (IWF) from October 26-28th in Washington D.C.

The International Woman’s Forum goal is to advance women’s leadership across careers, cultures and continents by connecting the world’s most preeminent women of significant and diverse achievements.

This is a one of a kind organization of singular standing in the world today that furthers dynamic leadership, leverages global access and maximizes opportunities for women to exert their influence.

The IWF brings together an unprecedented global membership to exchange ideas, to learn and inspire and to promote better leadership for a changing world.

Joining the Premier on this privately funded trip are, US Consul General Grace Shelton, Dame Jennifer Smith, Patricia Gordon-Pamplin, Louise Jackson, Judith Hall-Bean, Beverle Lottimore, Cheryl Packwood, Pamela Ferreira , Renee Webb, Dana Cooper, Allison Hill and Vicki Coelho.

At this year’s meeting the IWF is expected to make a decision with respect to Bermuda’s application for membership into this world class organization, which will benefit women from both the private and public sectors.

    Now thank the Lord that Louise Jackson and Patricia Pamplin are going on this trip. If not, they would be barking at the government for attending. Plain ole hypocrites.

      The trip is privately funded Watchie. They can go on as many privately funded junkets as they want. It’s when they use public money to go watch space shuttle launches or negotiate their private deals in India that I get upset.

      You do understand the difference between private and public funding right??
