Day #1: Bermuda Four Ball Results

November 13, 2011

With storm force winds covering the island recently, the first round of the Bermuda Four Ball was postponed until yesterday [Nov.12]. With clear skies and light breezes, players took to the course relived with the change in weather.

In the Ladies Division, Ebonie Burgess and Elizabeth Parsons share the lead with Joan Wood-Cassidy and Carla Mann-O’Callaghan with scores of 83 while Kathy Lloyd Hines and Gladys Chambaz finished with 84. Burgess and Parsons both represented Bermuda this summer in the Natwest Island Games in the Isle of Wight. Sylvia Tavares and Jeanne Atherden are leading the NET Division with a score of 73.

In the Men’s Division, home course advantage seemed to play a huge part as members David Alderdice and Richard Neame finished with a 4 under par 67 and a three stroke lead. Rod Forrest and Kirk Viehl are in second shooting a 1 under par 70 and pre-tournament favorites and past champions Nick Mansell and Jarryd Dillas sit in third place with an even par 71. Jerome Bradshaw and Frankie Furbert shot an impressive 66 in the NET Division to take a one shot lead over visitors Brian Farmer and Kyle Viehl.
