Masters Win Again, Make Semi-Finals
The Bermuda Masters played their third game of the Sir Garfield Sobers Masters Tournament in Barbados yesterday [Nov.11], winning their second consecutive game and making it through to the semi-finals. Final score: Suffolk Cricket 134/6 Bermuda Masters 136/9
Suffolk scored a total of 134/6 in their allotted 35 overs, Bermuda Masters captain Andre Manders bowled 7-0-18-2, while Hoyt Zuill bowled 7-0-24-2. In reply the Bermuda Masters scored 136/9, with Charlie Marshall – who won Man of the Match — was the top scorer on 39 not out, while Ricky Hill added 38.
The Bermuda Masters moved into the semi-finals which will be played on Monday. Bermuda’s first game of the tournament was against Shropshire and saw rain halt play, while their second game of the tournament saw Bermuda emerge with a six wicket victory over Yorkshire on November 9th.
The team consists of: Captain Andre Manders, Allen Richardson, Clevie Wade, Herbie Bascome, Ricardo Brangman, Ricky Hill, Charlie Marshall, Hoyt Zuill, Grant Smith, Lloyd Morrison, Treadwell Gibbons, Terry Fray, Gladwin Edness, Creswell Williams, Gilbert Caisey and Derek Wright.
