Good Weather As Sean Begins To Dissipate

November 12, 2011

The tropical storm watch for the island has been lifted as the remnants of Sean have merged with a cold front northeast of Bermuda and the system is expected to dissipate today [Nov.12].

Although Sean has been downgraded from a tropical storm, a small craft warning remains in effect for the island throughout the weekend despite otherwise fine conditions.

After a week of gale-force winds and  tropical storm conditions on Thursday [Nov.10], the Bermuda Weather Service said the island can expect “a largely fine weekend ahead” in its Saturday morning advisory, issued at 5.30 am.

“High pressure continues to build in from the west,” said the BWS. “This will bring largely fine and dry conditions to Bermuda through the weekend and into next week. Northerly breezes will give a noticeably cooler and less humid feel than in recent days.”
