Middle Road Blocked Due to Broken Pole
As of 2.15pm this afternoon [Nov.9] traffic is blocked on Middle Road in Devonshire – just east of the Belvin’s variety store – due to an issue with an electrical pole.
It appears the top of the pole sustained damage, and a BELCO crew is on scene repairing it presently, while personnel from the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service standby.

It was a small explosion that actually caused the power pole to snap and resulting in a small fire that knocked out power. BELCO worked hard throughout the evening to restore power and the surrounding community are very much appreciative for their efforts.
