Miss Bermuda Out Of ‘Beach Beauty’ Qualifier
Miss Bermuda Jana Outerbridge, who ranked in the Top 36 in the Miss World competition’s “Beach Beauty” qualifier has not made the final 20 in that category — but the poised and confident beauty queen is not letting that deter her as she prepares to represent the island at this Sunday’s finals.
After much deliberation, the 36 Beach Beauty qualifiers in the 2011 Miss World competition were narrowed down to just 20.
The top 20 “Beach Beauty” contestants are from: Bolivia, Brazil, England, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea, New Zealand, Paraguay, Northern Ireland, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia, Serbia, Spain, St Barthelemy, Sweden, Ukraine, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.
The daughter of Ms Glenda Outerbridge and Mr. Gregory Outerbridge, Sr. M. Outerbridge — an accomplished equestrian who has participated in Bermuda and international horse events — won the Miss Bermuda crown representing St. George’s East.
The 61st Miss World Pageant will be held on November 6, 2011, in London and broadcast live from Earls Court to a world-wide TV audience.
