Bascome Honoured By ‘Color Magazine’
The All-Inclusive Awards [AIA] sponsored by “Color Magazine” in the US has honoured Bermuda’s Daren Bascome [pictured], founder and director of Boston’s global brand-building agency Proverb.
Mr. Bascome received the “Publisher’s Choice Award/Individual” from the AIA.
The Fourth Annual All-Inclusive Awards took place recently at The Westin Copley Place in Boston.
“Color Magazine” honoured individuals and organisations that are paving the way for inclusion and diversity. The evening was be highlighted by a unique live Q&A with hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons.
“Color” Magazine is the premier, multicultural monthly magazine for professionals of colour in New England and New York City.
Proverb is an award-winning, global brand-building agency that specialises in consumer experiences that move products, ideas, and organisations to market strength quickly for a broad portfolio of clients.
Clients include Blue Cross Blue Shield, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Hotel Veritas, UN AIDS, Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust, and MIT Media Lab.
On the creative side, Proverb continues to win design and technology awards. Such an approach yields attention; the “Boston Globe” proclaimed Mr. Bascome “one of the most sought-after designers in Boston.”
A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Bascome began his career building branding campaigns and cultural exhibits.

Mr. Bascome is currently an appointed overseer of The Boston Museum of Fine Arts and chairman of their Multicultural Audience Development Committee. He is a director of the Massachusetts College of Art Foundation Board, a board member of Nexus Alliance, and an advisor to Greenrock, the Bermuda environmental advocacy organisation.
