Christmas Holiday Weather Forecast

December 24, 2011

Santa Claus may encounter a few raindrops tonight, as the Bermuda Weather Service [BWS] said this evening [Dec.24] will see a few rain showers, however they will clear overnight paving the way for a “mostly fair and dry Christmas Day.”

“A few light showers within a weak cold front will clear late this evening, and then high pressure brings a mostly fair and dry Christmas Day,” said the BWS.

“On Monday, gales arrive as a low to our north brings an active cold front to the area. Monday afternoon, showers and risk of thunder are expected as the front passes. Conditions then rapidly settle for Tuesday.”

This evening will have a low near 19°C/66°F, while tomorrow [Dec.25] will see a high near 21°C/70°F. Boxing Day [Dec.26] will see a low near 15°C/59°F and a high near 20°C/68°F, plus afternoon showers, risk of thunder and possibly strong to gale force gusts of wind.
