Mario’s ‘Bermuda’ One Of 2011′s Best

Although his musical love letter to the island didn’t top the charts, R&B singer Mario’s “Bermuda” is making some year-end music critics’ lists as one of the best summer anthems of 2011.

The Baltimore-born singer — who is best known for his hit singles “Just a Friend 2002″ and “Let Me Love You” — performed in Bermuda in 2005 and his June release celebrated the island’s romantic ambiance.

One reviewer in a recent Best of 2011 compilation said “Mario’s ‘Bermuda’ is a mid-tempo song that acts as a guide to a romantic summer getaway with that special someone. Mario gives a vivid account of a romantic rendezvous on an island with clear blue water and white sand beaches.

“This song is perfect to put on as soon as you land and reach your destination. So grab your first cocktail by the pool and enjoy.”
