In this afternoon’s [Dec.27] Friendship Semi-Final the North Village Rams walked away with a 3 – 2 win over St. David’s, booking their tickets to the Friendship Finals to be held on New Years Day.
St. David’s took the lead in the 8th minute when James Pace scored, however Kieshen Bean equalized for the North Village Rams in the 24th minute after a defensive mix up and the teams went to the break 1-1.
St. David’s once again went back in front in the 60th minute when Pace curled a free kick around a North Village Rams wall from some 25 yards out and beat Jason Williams. One minute later the scores were level as a St. David’s defender turned a cross into his own net.
Tyrell Burgess then powered the North Village Rams back in front with a blistering drive in the 75th minute to make the score 3-2. The referee blew the final whistle fifteen minutes later, setting up the New Years Day Friendship Final between the North Village Rams and the Somerset Trojans.
