Videos/Photos: 2011 Police Community Day
Students from Clearwater Middle School and other members of the public took advantage of Friday’s [Dec.9] Community Awareness Day at Southside Police Station to learn more about policing, and how the community and the Bermuda Police Service can work together to decrease crime.

During the event, from 9am to 4:30pm, visitors were given a tour of the Southside facility and shown a video presentation highlighting the different aspects of policing as well as the importance of police and community partnerships.

In addition police vehicles were on display, including the T3 Motion, police motorcycles and the Police Mobile Command Centre. Light refreshments were provided. It is anticipated that this event will take place at other police stations in the near future.

Well done BPS for hosting this Awareness Day in the East End. I hope this will be a traveling show and go to the Central and West End too.
This police are becoming very aware of the needs of the public. I admire how the police conduct their business and I have seen a vast improvement of how their deal with the public in the St George area. I have met the officer in charge on the East and he is very understanding of what the community wants
