Video: Dancers Prepare For ‘Nutcracker’
Dancing dolls, waltzing flowers and the Sugarplum Fairy will return to Bermuda this week when the In Motion School of Dance hosts their second annual Nutcracker Holiday Spectacular tomorrow [Dec. 16] and Saturday [Dec. 17].
There are approximately 80 students from ages seven to 18 years old participating and the performance this year will feature choreography from local and international artists.
Liz Pimental, director of In Motion School of Dance, “The Nutcracker Holiday Spectacular will be a two-part show, the first part will be featuring our younger dancers, also up to our junior and senior company dancers in ballet, tap, jazz and modern.”
“Following intermission, we will have Act II of Tchaikovsky’ ‘Nutcracker’ being presented. Our debut performance for ‘The Nutcracker’ was last year, it was very popular, and we had very good feedback from it, so we decided to do an encore presentation this year.”
