Catlin Group Enhances Risk Management

In order to enhance the services it offers to clients with hijack, kidnap, extortion and wrongful detention exposures, Bermuda-based re/insurer Catlin Group Ltd. has formed a partnership with two specialist risk management consultancies.

The partnership with Drum Cussac and Compass Risk Management, which commenced on 1 January 2012, is designed to ensure that “our clients have access to the highest-quality response, prevention and maritime intelligence service, 24/7 wherever they operate,” said Peter Dobbs, head of Catlin Asset Protection in London.

Jeremy Stampa Orwin, managing director of Drum Cussac, commented: “We are excited to be working with Catlin and Compass and look forward to developing a long and productive relationship together.”

Compass Risks Management specialises in the prevention and safe resolution of incidents of maritime piracy, kidnap and extortion.
