Dube & Orlova Win Marathon
Ethiopia’s Tesfaye Dube followed up his win in the Mile Races to capture the International Race Weekend Marathon title yesterday [Jan.15] when he was crossed the line in a time of 2:24.17. Fikadu Lemma finished second clocking 2:25.59 and Dereje Hailegiorgis clocked 2:32.43 to finish in third place.
Taking the International Race Weekend Women’s Marathon title was Elana Orlova who covered the course in 2:46.34, finishing 4th overall. She was more than 15 minutes ahead of the second place female finisher Mikides Bekele who clocked 3:06.27, while Muliye Gurmu was the third female finisher in 3:06.32.
