Gale Warning Cancelled At Noon

[Updated] The Gale Warning issued yesterday by the Bermuda Weather Service remains in effect this morning [Jan.4], with the forecast saying, “High pressure will slowly build behind the departing low, with strong winds easing through the day, becoming moderate this afternoon and light tonight.

“Occasional showers will persist through the morning, with cooler temperatures. Another, weaker front approaches late Thursday, with strong winds and showers at night. Fair weather develops Friday and the weekend.”

Yesterday’s high winds saw a number of flights cancelled, as well as the cancellation of the First Division double-header scheduled to be played at the Devonshire Recreation Club.

Update 12.20pm: The Bermuda Weather Service has cancelled the Gale Warning.
