Photos/Results: Rugby League Matches
Yesterday [Jan.7] the Bermuda Rugby Football Union action kicked off at the Warwick Academy School Field with four matches played.
In the Ladies Division the Renegades Ladies got Tries from Amy Harvey, Laura Haynes, Nicky Jones and Magda Splatchik as they defeated the Teachers Ladies 4 – 2.
Katy Wright and Marie-Pierre Beaudoin scored a Try each for the Teachers. In the other Ladies game the Police Ladies and Mariners Ladies played to a 3 – 3 draw. The Police Ladies got Try’s from Lauren Wilson, Jamie Walker and Mika Tomita.
In Men’s Division action the Renegades defeated the Teachers 27 – 17. The Renegades got Try’s from Ndavyah Williams and Neil MacGuiness, Ian Henderson had a drop kick goal and Phil Hall kicked 1 Conversion and 4 Penalties, while Andre Landy and Bobby Hurdle scored a Try each for the Teachers with Shauntino Simons kicking 2 Conversions and 1 Penalty.
The Mariners defeated the Police 17 – 10. The Mariners got Tries from Dustin Archibald, Tony Ward and Gareth Edwards, with Tim Peplow kicking one Conversion, while the Police got Tries from Tommy Edward and Neville Zuill
